The trains that run through this passage pass now two destinations of emotional import. One of great loss, and one of great promise. Both are far from home, relative to a New Yorker’s pedestrian sense of distance. The superposition of my heart, both light with infatuation and heavy with trepidation, marked the scene with an indelible emotional impression.

For this shot, I used a wide lens and placed the camera on a tripod from a high angle in front of a Phillips Hue Signe floor lamp set to a magenta color.

The balloons likely represent a message from retail traders who are eager to oppose institutional Wall Street traders by buying large volumes of AMC stock. Earlier this week the street was covered with chalk bearing the GME symbol. Welcome to 2021!
